Adrian Newey's departure from Red Bull is still hotly debated in Formula 1 circles

The cars designed under his leadership for different teams were crowned with great victories, and Newey’s path in Formula 1 still evokes the envy of any motorsport engineer, because he worked for such major auto concerns as Fittipaldi Automotive, March Engineering, Leyton House, Williams and McLaren.

He was not able to take the helm of teams everywhere, but everywhere he made a huge contribution to the development of Formula 1 participants. For many years he successfully led Red Bull Racing as a technical director, and brought the team many great victories. In his own words, Newey considered Red Bull family. However, as it became known, at the beginning of 2025, Adrian Newey’s cooperation with Red Bull Racing will end, and then the engineer of one of the most successful Formula 1 teams will be looking through job offers. The technical director of the champion Red Bull team, Pierre Vacher, noted in his interview that this is a big loss for the entire team. Red Bull employs more than three hundred engineers every day who develop the car and make it faster, so Newey’s departure will not be fatal for the team, although the loss of such a professional will be painfully felt at first. Under the technical leadership of a brilliant engineer, Red Bull Racing became one of the most successful teams in the history of Formula 1, winning 7 championship titles and 6 constructors' championships.

While Adrian Newine is in a hurry to divulge which team he will continue his career with Formula 1 only supports the already great intrigue. The situation is becoming overgrown with all sorts of rumors and assumptions. At the moment, Adrian Newey received the most significant job offer from Aston Martin. Team owner Lawrence Stroll offered Adrian a four-year deal and Newey then visited Aston Martin's Silverstone base. The £25 million request shocked Aston Martin owner Lawrence Stroll, although the designer had originally asked for double that. Stroll noted that the team would like to work with the brilliant engineer, but not “for any money.” If Adrian fails to reach an agreement with Aston Martin, then he is believed to also have a very advantageous and more than lucrative agreement on his hands with the top Formula 1 team Ferrari, which only remains to be signed. The problem is that accepting Ferrari's offer would require Newey to move to Italy, something he clearly doesn't particularly want to do. In addition, according to rumors, Adrien is trying to lure Flavio Briatore to Alpine. The team from Enstone would be glad to have such an engineer in their ranks, however, so far the parties have not agreed on signing a contact. Recently, the legendary designer has had no shortage of job offers. In the meantime, Newey is looking for a house in Oxfordshire, which clearly indicates the car designer’s intention to settle in England. It is also known that in the case of cooperation with Ferrari, Newey demanded that twenty more engineers be invited to the team under his leadership, which does not suit the management of the Italian favorite too much Formula 1.

While on this holiday, the famous designer is participating in the Historic Grand Prix of Monaco, and the race in category D has just ended, in which Newey also competed at the wheel of a Lotus 49B, a car 1968. So one thing is clear for now - after leaving Red Bull, the brilliant engineer will race vintage historical cars solely for his own pleasure.
