Since their formation in 1981, they have sold over 150 million copies of albums worldwide. Their latest studio album, 72 Seasons, released in 2023, was highly acclaimed by critics and won a Grammy Award for Best Metal Album in 2024. The band is currently touring extensively with the M72 World Tour, which is now in its third year and is setting audience records, especially in North America.

Musical performances by world-famous stars have become an integral part of the atmosphere at the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. In previous years, such famous bands as Muse and Foo Fighters have performed on the Yas Marina stage.
