2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix: Formula 1 in the Heart of Baku at the Baku City Circuit

The 2026 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix promises to be a significant event for all motorsport fans. The competition will take place from September 24 to 26 at the Baku City Circuit, located in the picturesque center of Baku. This circuit is known for its challenging corners and unique configuration, passing through the city's historic districts.

The weekend program will begin with a pit lane walk on September 23, allowing spectators to get a closer look at the racing atmosphere and the teams' preparations. Next, on September 24, the first two free practice sessions will take place, and on September 25 - the third session and qualifying. The main race is scheduled for September 26, Saturday, so as not to coincide with the national Remembrance Day of Azerbaijan.

The Baku City Circuit track includes 20 turns and runs along the seaside boulevard and the Government House, partially enclosing the old city. The width of the track varies from 13 meters in wide sections to only 7.6 meters in the narrow parts of the old city. On Neftchilar Avenue, cars move in opposite directions, separated by a special fence.
